Birchbox | March 2017

Hey everyone,

Usually I open my Birchbox each month on my Youtube Channel but this month I decided to change it up and talk through the box here!

The first thing I noticed about March’s box is how minimalist the overall design is compared to previous months. It is also one with a lid rather than the drawer design. I definitely prefer the drawer as it easier to stack them all up and go through each one without moving them around.

Even before it arrived I was super excited for this moths box as it includes the new Benefit They’re Real Lipsticks. I have been really wanting to try these out since they launched so I was thrilled when I received an email from Birchbox saying it would be included! Lusty Rose was my favourite shade of the whole collection and luckily it was one of the choices Birchbox gave so of course that is what I chose!  I’ve used it once already and it was easy to apply, long wearing and felt really creamy on the lips.It is a gorgeous pink shade and I can’t wait to use it more coming into Spring.

The next product is from a brand I have been using for years and that is Bastiste. I’ve used their dry shampoo before but this is a dry Shampoo and Conditioner which I have never seen. As a dyed blonde I never say no to a bit of extra conditioning as my hair can be quite dry and damaged so I am keen to try this!

On first impressions I loved the packaging of ‘Korres Santorini Vine Shower Gel’. I’ve never tried anything from Korres before but this shower gel smells amazing and the name screams summer to me.

This month the box included a Birchbox Exclusive product and it is the ‘Marcelle Gentle Make Up Remover’. In the description it says this product is for sensitive eyes and suitable for contact lenses wearers. I’m really glad about this because I always find my eyes the most sensitive just after taking out my contacts, before removing my make up and I find a lot of make up removers can irritate them. It also says the makeup remover contains a ‘de-puffing blend of cucumber and green tea’. I definitely suffer from puffiness under my eyes so I’m excited to see if this has a positive effect on that. I have already tried to remove very light, every day eye make up with this and it worked really well, using only one cotton pad for both eyes. I’ve really enjoyed other Marcelle products from previous BirchBoxes so I have a good feeling about this one.

The last product in the box is one from ‘Balance Me’ and it is a brightening, lifting and smoothing face primer. Primer is something I’m not really brand loyal to and I always chop and change which one I use, so I love trying new ones. I noticed Lavender oil in the ingredients and when I gave it a smell that definitely came through. Lavender is one of my favourite scents so thats a thumb up from me, hopefully it’s not too overpowering though especially as it’s a product applied around the nose area!

The variety of products in this months box was excellent and I’m really excited to give them all a try! If you’d like to pick up this months box with all these products sign up to Birchbox here and receive £5 off your first box!

Have you tried any of these products? I would love to know what you think of them in the comments below!

  2. I’m yet to try birch box!
Really like the look of the benefit lipstick/pencil! And the dry shampoo conditioner combo sounds good, think I’ll go try it as I love my usual batiste dry shampoo

  3. I used to have Birchboxes a few years back, but I stopped due to not being able to keep up with paying them for the box. The variety of products are always good, and one time I actually got a product from The Balm! Reading this was really nice, and it’s tempting me to get a subscription again. Love the post, and the photos are really great!
