A Weekend at Home in Dublin

Hey Everyone,

As I mentioned in my Last Post I headed home to Dublin for the weekend to spend Mother’s Day with the woman herself. I had such a lovely and chilled out weekend and spent most of the time just catching up with family and friends I hadn’t seen in a couple of months, and of course my doggies!!

Bright and Early on Saturday Morning after picking me up from the airport me and my mum headed straight for a walk up Killiney Hill and around Dalkey Quarry. If you live in Dublin and haven’t done this walk I really recommend you do. It was a gorgeous morning with the sun beaming down on the stunning view of Dublin. It really was the perfect start to the weekend.

On Sunday me and my mum spent the day taking drives in the sun, visiting a lovely park and even doing a little bit of shopping… I couldn’t resist going to the Poco by Pippa Pop up Shop in Dundrum while I was home!! I will have a full post about the shop and my new jeans up soon!

The weather was incredible this weekend so my legs saw light for the first time this spring and wore my gorgeous ‘Indigo’ dress from Boutique of Molly. It was my first time wearing this dress and I absolutely loved it! I felt super comfortable and body confident. The material was perfect for the weather as it was light and airy and the style of the dress was loose fitting so I wasn’t overly warm in the sun. I paired it with black heeled boots from Primark, old season. When it got a bit chillier later in the evening I put on my black Leather Jacket, also old season Primark.

I’m definitely going to be getting a lot of wear out of this dress this season! It is available online here for £29.95 and you can get a further 20% off this piece or anything on the website with code ‘XMEGANLISA’.

My great weekend was finished off by going out for dinner with my Mum and having chats which I miss so much when I’m away. Sometimes FaceTime just isn’t enough. It was the perfect end to a perfect weekend (sorry cliche I know).

How did you celebrate Mother’s Day? I’d love to hear about your weekends in the comments!

  1. Awww that sounds like a lovely trip home! I haven’t been down to Dublin since July so I’ll have to take a trip down with my boyfriend soon! I love the sound of that walk! I’ll definitely do it when we’re next down!
