Looking back

Hey everyone,

Sometimes I find it really good to look back and see how far you’ve come. Today is one of those days. 2 years ago today I started this little blog and what a journey its been!

When I look back at the person I was then and compare that to the person I am now I can hardly recognise myself. I was 17, just finished the leaving cert, and completely lost as a person. I was in a really bad place mentally and attending a psychiatrist. She told me I needed to find a focus for myself. Something I enjoyed that would get me up and doing things. So I decided that focus was going to be blogging. I’d wanted to start a blog for years and my mum and her friend always told me I should but I was just far too nervous. I am so glad I took control and started because I love it so much. Over the last two years my little blog has grown so much and I feel so proud. In the last year alone I did a complete blog revamp and changed domain, reached 100 followers (thank you!!) and started working with brands and organisations.

Not only has my blog grown but I have grown as well. Blogging has helped me become a much more confident person. It has given me an outlet for all my crazy thoughts and ideas and it’s become something I really really enjoy that brings me happiness. If you yourself are wanting to start a blog but feel too nervous I encourage you to take the step and do it, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made! Thank you for the continued support over the last two years ( even when work and life take over and I disappear every now and then! ) The support means the world to me. I can’t wait to continue this journey for more years to come!

Meg xx

  1. Awh this is lovely! Such a proud feeling to see how far you’ve come! I’ve taken breaks so many times and my therapist has told me to find a focus (just like you did) and I have to remember all where it started! You’ve got an amazing blog, you should be feeling very proud! xo
