My Top 3 Foundations

Hey everyone,

I feel like it’s been far too long since I’ve done a beauty post so today I thought I’d run through my current top 3 foundations that I have been reaching for the most!

I’ve never really been brand loyal at all when it comes to foundations. I’m always changing things up and trying new ones. This has lead to me having one heck of a foundation collection so as you can imagine narrowing it down to my to 3 was no easy task.

Urban Decay Naked Skin – £28.50

I’ve been using this foundation for a couple of years now and I still love it as much as I did the first time I used it. This foundation is a medium/ build-able coverage and can definitely be full coverage if thats the look you want. Naked Skin Foundation is oil free which I find great as I can be quite oily in my T-Zone and don’t want to add to that! There is no SPF in this foundation which means there won’t be any flashback in pictures. This isn’t always ideal for summer but if you prep your skin with SPF this foundation is still perfect for the sunny months. It is a really liquidy, light consistency and blends out really well. If you’re looking for a super weightless foundation that still gives you the coverage you want, give this a try! I use it 9/10 when I’m doing other peoples make up and it works well on all skin types and lasts for hours without budging.

Sephora 10hr Wear Perfection Foundation – $20.00

This is my go to foundation when I’m wearing tan as unfortunately its a few shades too dark for my natural skin. I absolutely adore the consistency and coverage of this foundation. It is a lot thicker than the Urban Decay foundation and a more medium/full coverage. A little goes a long way with this foundation and the bottle lasts a long time, because its so thick you don’t need much product at all!  Even though it is quite a thick it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin or look cakey at all which is amazing! Like the Urban Decay this product is oil free which again works perfectly with my combination skin. This blends out beautifully with both brushes or a sponge.  You definitely get 10 hour wear out of this, if not longer!

L’oreal True Match Foundation – £9.99

This is definitely my favourite drug store foundation that I’ve used in a while. It is a medium coverage and blends out effortlessly to leave a dewy finish to the skin. This foundation is really affordable at only £9.99 and has an amazing shade range. The consistency of this is probably somewhere in between the Urban Decay and Sephora products. Similar to the others it works perfectly with all skin types and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. I previously tried the old true match foundation but the formula didn’t work for me at all and I really wasn’t a fan. Whatever L’Oreal changed in their formula it was definitely a good choice!!

What is your favourite foundation at the moment? If you’d like to see more ‘Top 3’ posts including different make up products let me know!

  1. I have to admit I hadn’t even heard of the second foundation but have heard so many good things about the third.

I myself am quite scared to change foundations, I use Max Factor Lasting Performance and have done for 12 years as I like the coverage it gives and that it matches my very fair skin.

However, the last few years I think the formula may have changed so highly tempted to broaden my horizons.

  2. The Urban Decay Naked Skin has been one of my reach for foundations since they released it. I also love their one and done foundation for a lighter coverage. Although with this heat I have ditched foundations for BB creams at the monent.

  3. I’m currently loving the L’oreal Pro Glow foundation. I love how dewy and radiant my skin looks. I’ve heard good things about the Sephora foundation, maybe I’ll try that next.
